For this project, we drew inspiration from the forms and principles of contemporary Brutalism. The 70-square-metre space was designed around the principles of an open-plan layout and monumental forms.
The minimalist aesthetic is expressed through clean lines and sculptural volumes. The architectural framework remains deliberately restrained, allowing the eye to focus on the interplay of contrasting textures, smooth and rough, light and dark.
SPACE PLANNING
Deep blue-black veneer and dark decorative plaster envelop the space, giving the interior a sense of stability and understated sophistication. The focal element is the luminous ceiling panels, which shift in tone to reflect the mood of the person inhabiting the space.
